Welcome to the parish church of Sancreed: St Creden in the Anglican Diocese of Truro and county of Cornwall.

A few hundred yards west of the church there is a Holy Well and Baptistry, which predate the current parish church building.

A loyal, small, but progressively increasing in number congregation works together to support this church; in worship, community support as well as raising funds to keep the building open.   All Visitors are welcome at the church, to join us in worship on a regular basis or if even a one-off.

Today Sancreed remains a doggedly independent parish, providing a unique, traditional, contemplative place for worship in exceptional surroundings.

For other the parishes in the area, Pendeen with Morvah, and St Just-in-Penwith please contact the Reverend Karsten Wedgewood at 'Ermelo', Pendeen, Cornwall, TR19 7SQ.

All donations to keep this wonderful historic church open are gratefully received, either at the church or online:

Church Wardens

Our small but beautiful church is located in the very centre of Sancreed (Cornish : Eglossankres) in the inland parish in the Hundred of Penwith, about four miles west of Penzance. Bounded by St. Just parish to the west, Madron parish to the northeast and St. Buryan and Paul parishes to the south. the parish forms part of the gloriously wild and ruggedly beautiful area of West Penwith at the most westerly tip of Cornwall.

Penzance can be accessed by mainline railway from London, the Midlands and the North.

You can arrive by bus on Transport for Cornwall bus no. 8, from either Penzance or St Just. (No service Sundays or Bank Holidays).
